Prerequisites: Sailing 101 and 102
Age Range: 8-14 years old
Length of Session: 2 weeks
The Optimist learn to race program is well suited for sailors, 8 years old and older with at least 4 weeks of sail training. Sailors are expected to have already mastered the skills from Sailing 101 and Sailing 102 courses. This group will work with their coach on the fundamentals of sailboat racing and will compete in the Green Fleet at regattas around the bay. The Green Fleet is more relaxed and is designed for new racers. BCSC will provide boats for these sailors.
Cost: $900 (50% deposit required at time of registration)
