Home School Sailing at BCSC

Prerequisites: No Sailing Experience Required BUT should be comfortable in and around water

Age Range: 10 - 14 years old

Length of Session: 6 weeks

Sailors will learn the fundamental skills of sailing but most importantly develop confidence on the water. Sailors will learn the nomenclature of sailing both parts of the boat and sailing terms. Sailors will learn how to sail their boat up wind and down wind. More advanced sailors will learn incremental skills to maximize their boat speed on each tact of sail as well as some initial racing skills.
